PRIDE (The destroyer of souls!)

Pride is so subtle, it makes you think you're self sufficient, you can do everything by yourself. It makes you believe that you don't need help, you're just fine, there's nothing wrong with you, and everything you do and say is right and it's everybody else who's wrong.

Pride will keep you from listening to great advice, whether it be from your parents, friends, your spouse, or God Himself! Pride and a haughty eye most assuredly comes before destruction. I myself was full of pride and even had an evil spirit of pride in me! I know this because one morning I heard the evil spirit cry out it's name, priiiiiiiiide, and I felt it leave me and go out the window! I praise God for His Holy Spirit who cast that devil out of me!

Pride can and will destroy your soul if you let it, and the only way to be delivered from pride is to humble yourself in the sight of the LORD!

Psalm 10:4-6

The wicked in his proud countenance does not seek God; God is in none of his thoughts. His ways are always prospering; Your judgments are far above, out of his sight; As for all his enemies, he sneers at them. He has said in his heart, “I shall not be moved; I shall never be in adversity.”

Pride is what brought down Lucifer, a covering cherub, that God created for His good pleasure. He became satan, a corrupted fallen angel, who has the power to deceive the whole world.

Ezekiel 28:17

"Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty; You corrupted your wisdom for the sake of your splendor; I cast you to the ground, I laid you before kings, That they might gaze at you."

That is what happens to many physically attractive men and women, they become so engrossed with themselves and their beauty, they become corrupt in the heart, and although their outward appearance may be appealing their inner self is very ugly!

As Christians we must fight the evil spirit of pride in every area of our lives. Don't resist correction, humble yourself when you realize you're wrong. Seek help from others, and offer to help them in return. Listen to advice from those who are more spiritually mature than you are, listen to those who are more experienced and learn from them.

Humble yourself in the sight of the Lord, and HE WILL LIFT YOU UP!

The Wheat And Tares, More Insight!

Matthew 13:24-30

"Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared. So the servants of the owner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’ He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ The servants said to him, ‘Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’ But he said, ‘No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.” ’ ”

This is one of my favorite parables and I wrote another blog some years ago on this topic, but I want to add a little more insight into this great parable.

Jesus explains the parable.

Matthew 13:36-43

"Then Jesus sent the multitude away and went into the house. And His disciples came to Him, saying, “Explain to us the parable of the tares of the field.”

He answered and said to them: “He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man. The field is the world, the good seeds are the sons of the kingdom, but the tares are the sons of the wicked one. The enemy who sowed them is the devil, the harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are the angels. Therefore as the tares are gathered and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of this age. The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness, and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!"

1st Point: Jesus completely destroys the false teaching of a pre-tribulation rapture with this parable and the explanation of it.

2nd Point:  So many believer's THINK that being inside of a church building separates them from the world, and that they are somehow more spiritual and righteous than others. But again Jesus annihilates the false teaching of the Tares being outside the church walls, but the people gathered inside the building are the wheat.

Jesus said clearly, the field IS THE WORLD! He didn't say that you become His wheat because you go and sit inside a church building. Do you think that the devil can't come and sit right next to you inside that building? In fact he has done that for decades already, which is why many who profess Christ are powerless and without spiritual discernment. Witches, masons, false prophets and unconverted people sit inside the church building and say amen, sing songs, go up to altar calls and congregate with true believers, and they don't even know it! Many so-called pastors belong to the masonic order and other secret societies and get up into the pulpit every Sunday and oppress the souls of all who listen to them speak.

Paul said in the last days people would gather to themselves teachers to say whatever their itching ears want to hear! That prophecy is being fulfilled right now! What happened to preaching the truth of God's word and applying it?

3rd Point: The wheat and tares look exactly alike UNTIL they are fully grown! You can't tell the difference between a witch or a mason and a spirit-filled believer sitting right next to each other! But once they are fully grown you WILL be able to tell the difference!

The face of Stephen was shining like an angel and everyone looking at him could see it!

Acts 6:15

"And all who sat in the council, looking steadfastly at him, saw his face as the face of an angel."

The Lord said there will come a day when you will know who serves Him and who does not!

Malachi 3:16-18

"Then those who feared the Lord spoke to one another, And the Lord listened and heard them; So a book of remembrance was written before Him For those who fear the Lord And who meditate on His name. “They shall be Mine,” says the Lord of hosts, “On the day that I make them My jewels. And I will spare them As a man spares his own son who serves him.” Then you shall again discern Between the righteous and the wicked, Between one who serves God And one who does not serve Him."
