A Voice Crying In The Wilderness (John The Baptist)

John 1:19-27

Now this is the testimony of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, “Who are you?” He confessed, and did not deny, but confessed, “I am not the Christ.” And they asked him, “What then? Are you Elijah?” He said, “I am not.” “Are you the Prophet?” And he answered, “No.” Then they said to him, “Who are you, that we may give an answer to those who sent us? What do you say about yourself?” He said: “I am ‘The voice of one crying in the wilderness: “Make straight the way of the Lord,”’ as the prophet Isaiah said.” Now those who were sent were from the Pharisees. And they asked him, saying, “Why then do you baptize if you are not the Christ, nor Elijah, nor the Prophet?” John answered them, saying, “I baptize with water, but there stands One among you whom you do not know. It is He who, coming after me, is preferred before me, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to loose.”

John the baptist was one lone voice crying out in the midst of darkness and religious blindness. A great Light was coming and John was sent by God to prepare the way for the Lord. The same thing is happening today as it did then; the Pharisees and Jews read the law and prophets every Sabbath in their synagogues and memorized the scriptures and thought because of their intellectual understanding that they knew who God was. But here came John the baptist, a prophet of God who was killed just like all the other prophets who came before him! Do you see the ways of man? Even religious leaders of the day!

They were waiting on another Elijah and the Messiah, both of them came and the majority of people missed it!

Matthew 17:10-13

And His disciples asked Him, saying, “Why then do the scribes say that Elijah must come first?” Jesus answered and said to them, “Indeed, Elijah is coming first and will restore all things. But I say to you that Elijah has come already, and they did not know him but did to him whatever they wished. Likewise the Son of Man is also about to suffer at their hands.” Then the disciples understood that He spoke to them of John the Baptist.

Luke 1:13-17

"But the angel said to him, “Do not be afraid, Zacharias, for your prayer is heard; and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you shall call his name John. And you will have joy and gladness, and many will rejoice at his birth. For he will be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink. He will also be filled with the Holy Spirit, even from his mother’s womb. And he will turn many of the children of Israel to the Lord their God. He will also go before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah, ‘to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children,’ and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just, to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.”

Jesus said that there wasn't a greater man born of women than John the baptist, but today the least of those who enter the kingdom of God is greater than he was!

The time is upon us once again for true apostles and prophets to be sent out before the face of the Lord to make ready the remnant people that God has chosen for salvation. The true ministers of God will go forth in this last hour in the spirit and power of the Son of Man, Jesus! And you will hear the same message that John and Jesus preached, REPENT! For the kingdom of God is at hand!

Luke 1:76-80

“And you, child, will be called the prophet of the Highest; For you will go before the face of the Lord to prepare His ways, To give knowledge of salvation to His people by the remission of their sins, Through the tender mercy of our God, With which the Dayspring from on high has visited us; To give light to those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace. So the child grew and became strong in spirit, and was in the deserts till the day of his manifestation to Israel."

Luke 3:7-9, 15-18

"Then he said to the multitudes that came out to be baptized by him, “Brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come? Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance, and do not begin to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones. And even now the ax is laid to the root of the trees. Therefore every tree which does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.

Now as the people were in expectation, and all reasoned in their hearts about John, whether he was the Christ or not, John answered, saying to all, “I indeed baptize you with water; but One mightier than I is coming, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to loose. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. His winnowing fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clean out His threshing floor, and gather the wheat into His barn; but the chaff He will burn with unquenchable fire. And with many other exhortations he preached to the people."

Do you know the ways of God? Many today are waiting for the David's, Elijah's, John the baptist's, the sons of God, and the bride of Christ, but when they come, will you be prepared for the word of God that will flow from their mouths? I tell you, they have already come, but the world does not know them!

CORRA! - Carter Conlon

2 Corintios 6:14-18

It Will Cost You Everything - Steve Lawson

Luke 14:25-27

"Now great multitudes went with Him. And He turned and said to them, “If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple. And whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple."

Jesus disse para VOCE, Ide e Fazei Discipulos?

This message is also written in English on our blog on Sept 21st,2013

Mateus 28:16-20

Deixe-me te dizer porque, AS TRADICOES DE HOMENS ANULARAM OS MANDAMENTOS DE DEUS!

Deixe-me dizer o porque, POR CAUSA DAS TRADICOES DOS HOMENS!

Jesus (Deus) mesmo CHAMOU doze homens e disse "Vem Siga-Me, e EU OS FAREI PESCADORES DE HOMENS".

Did Jesus Tell YOU, To Go And Make Disciples?

Matthew 28:16-20

"Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, to the mountain which Jesus had appointed for them. When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some doubted. And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen."

In the above passages of scripture Jesus is telling His eleven disciples, (they had also been chosen to be His apostles) to go (a command) and make disciples (a learner of Jesus) of ALL the nations, BAPTIZING them in the NAME of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (JESUS). Then Jesus told them to TEACH those disciples to observe ALL THINGS that He commanded them!

Now why don't we see this ministry pattern that Jesus Himself set, being done today? Let me tell you why, THE TRADITIONS OF MAN HAVE NULLIFIED THE COMMANDS OF GOD!

Here's another question: Was Jesus telling every believer in the first century to go and make disciples of all nations? And how about every believer today? The answer to both of those questions is NO!

So why do most believers today think they have to go out and make disciples or share their faith etc..? Let me tell you why, BECAUSE OF THE TRADITIONS OF MAN!

Jesus (God) Himself CALLED twelve men and said "Come Follow ME, And I WILL MAKE YOU FISHERS OF MEN". Nowhere in scripture do we see any apostle or minister of God going to any school to learn how to be a pastor! But yet that's what we see today and it has become the norm!

Today, ministry has become a business venture, and a career choice, not a calling and preparation by God to be used by Him to do HIS will. This is why people are mocking Jesus and Christians today, calling them hypocrites, even unbelievers can see that many professing Christians don't obey the teachings of Jesus, or practice what they preach!

Sadly, these words of Jesus can be applied to many of those who profess to be pastors and ministers of God.

Matthew 15:7-9

"Hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy about you, saying: ‘These people draw near to Me with their mouth, And honor Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me. And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men."

In the first century the apostles were led by the Spirit to do God's will, to preach, heal the sick, cast out demons, and raise the dead. They were called, chosen, and sent by God to do the ministry works of Jesus and it was the Lord Himself who added to their number, the apostles were willing vessels of God's glory and Spirit on this earth.

Acts 2:40-47

"And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, “Be saved from this perverse generation.” Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them. And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. Then fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles. Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common, and sold their possessions and goods, and divided them among all, as anyone had need. So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved."

The day is coming again when the true apostles and prophets of the Lord will be sent out walking in the glory, love, and resurrection power of Jesus Christ! And the day is coming again when the saints of God will gather together and the gospel of the kingdom will be preached with the fire and anointing of the Spirit of God! They will once again be unified in the faith with ALL things in common and the Great I AM will perform mighty signs and wonders through HIS chosen vessels to prepare the way for the soon coming KING!!!
