Do You THINK You're OK?

The best mindset to have, is one that thinks you haven't arrived, you're not there yet, but you're pressing on for the prize. Even when God raises you up from the valley's and set's you on the mountain top, you should always remain humble and give ALL the glory to God!

Paul said we should not THINK more highly of ourselves than we should! Great advice!

Romans 12:3

"For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith."

It's a very slippery slope downward when you start thinking you're all that and a bag of chips! LOL
Or even thinking and saying to yourself that, 'I'm ok, I do good things, I give to the homeless, I donate my time and money to charity' etc...... BUT the Lord said clearly, we can do all those things, but our HEARTS can still be FAR FROM HIM!

1st Corinthians 10:12

"Therefore, let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall."

It is so important to stay humble no matter what situation we may find ourselves in! Because it's so easy to become prideful and arrogant, especially in positions of authority or when we have great wealth.

Remember God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble!

There Is Only ONE Way To Enter God's Kingdom!

John 14:6

"Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me."

Are these scriptures clear? Is what Jesus said hard to understand?

How about these scriptures.

John 3:5

"Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God."

I don't know about you, but when I read these scriptures with my current understanding of the written word of God, I believe exactly what they say!

Jesus told Nicodemus this, and He's telling us today, that unless you are born of water, (baptism) and the Spirit, (Holy Spirit baptism), you CANNOT enter the kingdom of God!

Unless you are born from above you cannot see or enter the kingdom of God! Amazing, isn't it?

So why don't the majority of preachers, preach this truth? And why don't so many professing Christians believe what Jesus said in the above two passages of scripture?

I didn't read Jesus saying, repeat this prayer with me to enter God's Kingdom. I didn't read just confess with your mouth and believe with all your heart and then you will enter the Kingdom of God.

Are the scriptures in Romans 10:9 in conflict with John 3:5? Nope! All you have to do is read the scriptures in context and start asking questions and you will find the answer!

Like this question: Where did Paul get his gospel message from?

Galatians 1:11-12

"But I make known to you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not according to man. For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came through the revelation of Jesus Christ."

Now would Jesus Christ through His Holy Spirit that lived inside Paul's soul, teach him a contradictory gospel? A message of conversion different from Jesus Himself!? Impossible!!!!!

This is exactly why Jesus told the Pharisees the kingdom of God is within you!

Luke 17:20-21

"Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, “The kingdom of God does not come with observation; nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.”

And the only way for God's kingdom to be within you, is to obey exactly what Jesus said! And if you do, then Jesus (The Son), The Father, and His Spirit will come to you and make their home within your soul! That is true conversion to Christ!

John 14:23-24

"Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father’s who sent Me."

Obedience to the teachings of Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation! The only way to see and enter the Kingdom of God!

You Gotta Believe!

Mark 5:25-34

"Now a certain woman had a flow of blood for twelve years, and had suffered many things from many physicians. She had spent all that she had and was no better, but rather grew worse. When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment. For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.”

Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction. And Jesus, immediately knowing in Himself that power had gone out of Him, turned around in the crowd and said, “Who touched My clothes?”

But His disciples said to Him, “You see the multitude thronging You, and You say, ‘Who touched Me?’ ”
And He looked around to see her who had done this thing. But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell down before Him and told Him the whole truth. And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction.”

I can't say enough about the power of God that can be displayed in your life if you just believe that with God ALL things are possible!

As Christians we cannot live our lives in fear and shame, we must believe the word of God. We must hold on to the truths and promises of God that are written in the bible no matter our circumstances and no matter what is going on in the world around us. Prayer, belief and waiting on the Lord for His help and intervention is the key to living the supernatural.

Jesus is still the Chief Physician, He can heal you of anything if you believe He can and is willing to do so. He's waiting for you to reach out your hand to Him, to cry out to Him like Blind Bartimaeus did. He will answer you if you seek Him will ALL your heart!

Peter believed he could walk on water!

Matthew 14:25-33

"Now in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went to them, walking on the sea. And when the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, “It is a ghost!” And they cried out for fear.

But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid.”

And Peter answered Him and said, “Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.”

So He said, “Come.” And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!”

And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?” And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased."

We have to believe with all our heart that we can do what God says we can through His power, His strength, and His Spirit. Not doubting when we start to experience the supernatural, and not becoming afraid when God answers our prayers and opens doors for us to do His work.

This is the end of the age and we are most certainly living in the time of sorrows, the beginning of birth pains, before Jesus returns. The four horsemen of Revelation are riding and God's judgments are upon the face of the earth. We must be faithful at this time and believe that God is going to intervene and help His people to overcome this world, the flesh and the devil.

1st John 5:4

"For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith."

The Power Of Words! (Part 1)

When I was in fifth or sixth grade, there was an incident that happened that I believe hindered my growth and my life for many years.

I was like most kids my age 10 or 11 years old I can't remember exactly which, I didn't get into too much trouble, but I was rebellious and had a few visits to the principal's office. I can't recall what I did to get sent to the office when this particular incident happened, but I can vividly remember what was spoken to me.

During the course of this visit the principal of the school berated me, belittled me, and at one point said to me that, "I was nothing, and that I would never be anything, or do anything in life". That principle used his mouth and spoke those evil words and he effectively cursed me!

I didn't know at the time I was cursed by this man, but as I got older, I often wondered why I could never finish anything that I started. I barely graduated high school, and then I went into the National Guard when I was 18, I went through basic training and the schooling part, and even did the one week out the month for a while but when I had to do the two weeks in the field in the summer, I quit! And that got me AWOL'ED (Absent Without Official Leave) out of the military!

Then I enrolled in a Junior College near my home, but I only went one day and quit that. I enrolled in another Community College and did half a semester and I quit that too! See the pattern! I had many jobs over a span of ten years or so and most of them I quit, I remember just walking out of a restaurant I was cooking at and leaving meat and chicken on the grill cooking! I just walked out the door and never went back! The power of a cursing word over your life is soul destroying!

It really wasn't until God blessed me with an anointed prophet for a wife that my life started to change, and it was only recently that the Holy Spirit reminded me of what happened to me as a young boy, and then I was able to renounce that curse of the principal and break any chains that bound me in Jesus name!

This is also what satan does to many African American people in this country and so-called minorities, evil words that are spoken over generations can curse and oppress an entire group of people because of their skin color, their ancestry, etc.... and only by the power of Jesus Christ and the Spirit of God can these curses be broken!

On the contrary, when God speaks a word, it's healing, its life, it's blessed, it's powerful, it's liberating to the souls that receive it!

Matthew 8:5-13

"Now when Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to Him, pleading with Him, saying, “Lord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed, dreadfully tormented.” And Jesus said to him, “I will come and heal him.”

The centurion answered and said, “Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed. For I also am a man under authority, having soldiers under me. And I say to this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”

When Jesus heard it, He marveled, and said to those who followed, “Assuredly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel! And I say to you that many will come from east and west, and sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven.  But the sons of the kingdom will be cast out into outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” Then Jesus said to the centurion, “Go your way; and as you have believed, so let it be done for you.” And his servant was healed that same hour.

Watch what you say to your spouse, your kids, your co-workers, your family members, and watch what you speak about other ethnicities and people groups who are different than you. Bless people don't curse them!

IF You Love Me.........

John 14:15, 19-24

“If you love Me, keep My commandments.

“A little while longer and the world will see Me no more, but you will see Me. Because I live, you will live also. At that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you. He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.” Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, “Lord, how is it that You will manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world?”

Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father’s who sent Me."

How many times have you said, 'I love Jesus', but have not obeyed His word? How many times have you said, 'I believe in Jesus', but have not done what He commands?

It's easy to say I love Jesus, I believe in Him, but when you are confronted with the truth of His word and you realize that you have not obeyed Him, it can be very hard to admit that you really don't love Jesus.

God desire's His children to be obedient, just as parents want their children to obey what they say. And when children don't obey, they have to pay the consequences for their disobedience.

Obedience leads to blessings, salvation, the Love of the Father and the Son, the fruits of the Spirit being birthed in our souls. Obedience leads to eternal life with God.

On the contrary, disobedience leads to death (separation from God), it opens a door for satan to oppress our souls, it leads to self deception, it also leads to the wrath of God and ultimately being thrown in the lake of fire, if our names are not found written in the Book of Life.

There is no other option if you really want to be a Christian and live a godly life, we all must obey the teachings of Jesus Christ and His commandments, and 1st John 5 tells us that His commandments are not burdensome.

1st John 5:1-3

"Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves Him who begot also loves him who is begotten of Him. By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments.  For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome.

The main point of the entire bible is Obedience! From Genesis to Revelation, from Adam to the Last saint who will enter God's kingdom, the call is to love and obey God and keep His commandments!

Even Solomon who was the wisest man who ever lived understood this truth and summed up the life of man in one sentence!

Ecclesiastes 12:13-14

"Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments, For this is man’s all. For God will bring every work into judgment, Including every secret thing, Whether good or evil."

A World-Wide Revival!

The Lord said to me this morning: "All Around The World"

I immediately understood that Lord was talking to me about the coming world-wide revival and outpouring of His Spirit throughout this world.

I had just spoken this to my wife two days ago and this was confirmation of the word I spoke to her, Hallelujah!

I told her that when the Azusa street revival happened, God came down in one spot and people from all over the world went to California to get their blessing and then they spread the gospel all over the world. This time God is going to pour out His Spirit all over the world and there will be millions of souls ushered into the Kingdom of God! The Lord will send forth His apostles to preach the gospel of the kingdom and the prophets will prophesy of the soon coming King!

Jesus told His disciples this word in Matthew 24:14

"And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come."

One of the results of this end time ministry and outpouring of God's Spirit is recorded in Revelation 7:9

After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands,

This will be a glorious day for those who love the Lord, but for the wicked and ungodly, it will be days of hatred and anger, they will hate to see the joy of the Lord in His people and they will be angry when the Lord lifts up His bride to do His will on the face of the earth.

The time is at hand!
