You Gotta Believe!

Mark 5:25-34

"Now a certain woman had a flow of blood for twelve years, and had suffered many things from many physicians. She had spent all that she had and was no better, but rather grew worse. When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment. For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.”

Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction. And Jesus, immediately knowing in Himself that power had gone out of Him, turned around in the crowd and said, “Who touched My clothes?”

But His disciples said to Him, “You see the multitude thronging You, and You say, ‘Who touched Me?’ ”
And He looked around to see her who had done this thing. But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell down before Him and told Him the whole truth. And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction.”

I can't say enough about the power of God that can be displayed in your life if you just believe that with God ALL things are possible!

As Christians we cannot live our lives in fear and shame, we must believe the word of God. We must hold on to the truths and promises of God that are written in the bible no matter our circumstances and no matter what is going on in the world around us. Prayer, belief and waiting on the Lord for His help and intervention is the key to living the supernatural.

Jesus is still the Chief Physician, He can heal you of anything if you believe He can and is willing to do so. He's waiting for you to reach out your hand to Him, to cry out to Him like Blind Bartimaeus did. He will answer you if you seek Him will ALL your heart!

Peter believed he could walk on water!

Matthew 14:25-33

"Now in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went to them, walking on the sea. And when the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, “It is a ghost!” And they cried out for fear.

But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid.”

And Peter answered Him and said, “Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.”

So He said, “Come.” And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!”

And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?” And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased."

We have to believe with all our heart that we can do what God says we can through His power, His strength, and His Spirit. Not doubting when we start to experience the supernatural, and not becoming afraid when God answers our prayers and opens doors for us to do His work.

This is the end of the age and we are most certainly living in the time of sorrows, the beginning of birth pains, before Jesus returns. The four horsemen of Revelation are riding and God's judgments are upon the face of the earth. We must be faithful at this time and believe that God is going to intervene and help His people to overcome this world, the flesh and the devil.

1st John 5:4

"For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith."

The Power Of Words! (Part 1)

When I was in fifth or sixth grade, there was an incident that happened that I believe hindered my growth and my life for many years.

I was like most kids my age 10 or 11 years old I can't remember exactly which, I didn't get into too much trouble, but I was rebellious and had a few visits to the principal's office. I can't recall what I did to get sent to the office when this particular incident happened, but I can vividly remember what was spoken to me.

During the course of this visit the principal of the school berated me, belittled me, and at one point said to me that, "I was nothing, and that I would never be anything, or do anything in life". That principle used his mouth and spoke those evil words and he effectively cursed me!

I didn't know at the time I was cursed by this man, but as I got older, I often wondered why I could never finish anything that I started. I barely graduated high school, and then I went into the National Guard when I was 18, I went through basic training and the schooling part, and even did the one week out the month for a while but when I had to do the two weeks in the field in the summer, I quit! And that got me AWOL'ED (Absent Without Official Leave) out of the military!

Then I enrolled in a Junior College near my home, but I only went one day and quit that. I enrolled in another Community College and did half a semester and I quit that too! See the pattern! I had many jobs over a span of ten years or so and most of them I quit, I remember just walking out of a restaurant I was cooking at and leaving meat and chicken on the grill cooking! I just walked out the door and never went back! The power of a cursing word over your life is soul destroying!

It really wasn't until God blessed me with an anointed prophet for a wife that my life started to change, and it was only recently that the Holy Spirit reminded me of what happened to me as a young boy, and then I was able to renounce that curse of the principal and break any chains that bound me in Jesus name!

This is also what satan does to many African American people in this country and so-called minorities, evil words that are spoken over generations can curse and oppress an entire group of people because of their skin color, their ancestry, etc.... and only by the power of Jesus Christ and the Spirit of God can these curses be broken!

On the contrary, when God speaks a word, it's healing, its life, it's blessed, it's powerful, it's liberating to the souls that receive it!

Matthew 8:5-13

"Now when Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to Him, pleading with Him, saying, “Lord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed, dreadfully tormented.” And Jesus said to him, “I will come and heal him.”

The centurion answered and said, “Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed. For I also am a man under authority, having soldiers under me. And I say to this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”

When Jesus heard it, He marveled, and said to those who followed, “Assuredly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel! And I say to you that many will come from east and west, and sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven.  But the sons of the kingdom will be cast out into outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” Then Jesus said to the centurion, “Go your way; and as you have believed, so let it be done for you.” And his servant was healed that same hour.

Watch what you say to your spouse, your kids, your co-workers, your family members, and watch what you speak about other ethnicities and people groups who are different than you. Bless people don't curse them!
