Have You Been With Jesus?

Acts 4:8-14

"Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, “Rulers of the people and elders of Israel: If we this day are judged for a good deed done to a helpless man, by what means he has been made well,  let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole.  This is the ‘stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone.’ Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus. And seeing the man who had been healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it."

The only way that anyone is going to be able to stand in these last days is to be full of the Spirit, wisdom, grace, and truth of God! And the only way to receive any of these supernatural gifts is to go through the Door, The Way, The Truth, and The Life, JESUS!

Peter and John spent three and half years with Jesus before He was crucified, and then another forty days with Him after His resurrection, they were also considered pillars of the first century church. They had the honor of being chosen as apostles of Christ and were with Him just about everywhere He went, they saw the miracles, and heard the words He spoke which came directly from the Father in Heaven. They had been with Jesus!

It seems all of Jerusalem had gathered the next day after Peter and John were imprisoned for preaching and healing in Jesus name. The elders, rulers, scribes, Annas the High Priest and all his family came to hear by what power and through what name did Peter and John evoke to do this great work.

Then Peter empowered and lifted up by the Spirit of God, started to speak to the rulers and elders of Israel that is was by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth that the man was made whole.

When all in attendance saw and heard the boldness of Peter and John and perceived that they were unschooled and untrained men they marveled, they were amazed and they remembered these men had been with Jesus!

They would have had no power, no boldness, no truth, no wisdom, no preparation, no understanding, and no Holy Spirit indwelling them, if they had not been with Jesus! Many disciples turned away from Him and followed Him no more! Have you been with Jesus? Have you spent time with Him? Studying His teachings and applying them to your life?

So many believers try to get around Jesus, go through back doors, and other ways, they don't want to let go of their lives in this world, they don't want to completely submit and surrender their lives to the Lord, for correction and teaching, and training. Because Jesus will expose the evil in you, He's not going to let you walk in darkness and then it will be your choice what you do with that revelation.

Luke 10:38-41

"Now it happened as they went that He entered a certain village; and a certain woman named Martha welcomed Him into her house. And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus’ feet and heard His word. But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said, “Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me.”

And Jesus answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her.

Martha was like so many today, worried about the cares of this world, finances, education, politics, the opposite sex, etc..... but Mary chose what was better, she was sitting at the feet of Jesus listening to His word. Whose word are you listening to today? The words of Jesus are spirit and life!

The apostles of Jesus understood that they could do nothing of themselves, they knew that they needed Jesus for everything, He was their life, their reason for living, their hope and their salvation, He should be the same for us today!

2nd Corinthians 3:4-6

"And we have such trust through Christ toward God. Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God, who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life."

Jesus Himself said that apart from Him we can do nothing! We can't do anything of Heavenly value and worth without Jesus working in us and through us by His Spirit!

John 15:5

“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing."

Jesus said FOLLOW ME and I WILL make you fishers of men!

Jesus didn't say go to seminary school and they will make you my ministers, He didn't say the professors of bible college will empower you, anoint you and train you to take the gospel to ends of the earth. So why do men try and replace the Master Teacher, The Chief Apostle, The High Priest Of Heaven, and Our Wonderful Counselor? Have you been with Jesus? Do you follow Him, being led by His Spirit? Or do you follow men?

Too many believers are considering men more highly than they ought and placing men and some women on pedestals they don't belong.

Jesus said He was our Teacher and those in Him are all brothers and sisters!

Matthew 23:8-12

"But you, do not be called ‘Rabbi’; for One is your Teacher, the Christ, and you are all brethren. Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven. And do not be called teachers; for One is your Teacher, the Christ. But he who is greatest among you shall be your servant. And whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted."

Matthew 11:28-30

"Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

Have you been with Jesus?

I Can Show You The Door! (But You Have To Walk Through It!)

There is only ONE way to God, only ONE way to the Father, and that is through Jesus Christ, there is no other way for a soul to receive salvation but through the name of Jesus, the only name given to men under Heaven by which we MUST be saved!

John 10:7-10

"Then Jesus said to them again, “Most assuredly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. All who ever came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them. I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly."

So many have tried to enter through other doors, windows, the back door, and then wonder why they have no power, no strength to stand against evil. No true authority to cast out demons and heal the sick, but many gloss over the scriptures that clearly detail the gifts and powers that Jesus Himself gives to His apostles, prophets, ministers etc...... to be His witnesses and to take His gospel to the ends of the earth.

Has Jesus changed? Has He stopped anointing men and women with gifts and powers to be His hands, His eyes, His mouth upon the face of this earth? The scriptures clearly tell us that the Lord changes not! That Jesus Christ is the SAME, Yesterday, TODAY! And FOREVER!!!!!

So what changed then? I'll tell you what changed, men stopped entering through the door that is Jesus, they started entering through the door of seminary schools, bible colleges, and taking online classes to receive diplomas, certificates, ordinations, doctorates, and pastorates from family members and church boards, and the list goes on and on! Show me any of this in the bible! It's nowhere to be found!

Jesus chose Himself twelve ordinary UNSCHOOLED MEN, to be His apostles, and they turned the world upside down! Why do men continue to try and do what only God can do? Why do they want it their way and not God's way? There is no power in pride, only in humility. Humble yourselves therefore in the sight of the Lord AND HE will lift you up! So much knowledge today and so little obedience.

Acts 4:13-14

"Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus. And seeing the man who had been healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it."

Yes, Jesus is most certainly the only WAY, THE Truth and THE Life, but so many refuse to go to Him for the abundant life that He promised, they refuse to go to Jesus for the rest of their souls that only He can provide, they refuse to go to Him to learn from Him and receive His anointing, His approval, His ordination and His Spirit, so that they can be true witnesses, true ambassadors of Christ, sent forth to proclaim the good news of the kingdom of God.

I have shown you the door, but will you walk through!

Dana Coverstone's Prophetic Dreams! Keep Watch!

This video of Dana Coverstone, who is a pastor of a small church in Burkesville, Kentucky, is a must watch for the body of Christ and for those in the world who will listen! Time to prepare your physical house and your spiritual house!

The video has ignited a fire storm on Facebook and YouTube, with so many people coming out of the woodworks calling him a false prophet etc........ I watched the video a few times and prayed for confirmation about it. The Lord gave me two things, the first was "Rosh Hashanah", the Jewish New Year, which is September 18th - 20th of this year. Then while talking to my wife about it the Spirit spoke and said, "Troops In The Street", then I heard the same thing again in my mind. So the Lord gave me more confirmation of what He has already shown me and my wife over the years, which I have posted on this blog.

All we can do is watch, pray, and prepare, it's not IF these end time events will happen but WHEN! They are already foretold in scripture and we are given DETAILS of the prophecies that were written thousands of years ago!

And just like the prophecies given by Jesus, Paul, John and the prophets etc..... you should take Dana's dreams as a warning of what is coming to this nation. Countless people have received detailed prophetic dreams, visions and words from God about these last days for thousands of years, so it should not come as a surprise that Dana received these dreams. I do believe it has gone viral for a reason, especially if God wanted to warn us of the imminent fulfillment of the dreams.

Now I don't agree with what Dana said about getting guns and storing up ammo and buying gold etc.... Christians need to store up the word of God in their hearts and be filled with the Holy Spirit and grace of God! I do believe we should store up water and some necessary essentials but beyond that the Lord will provide and when we run out of that we need to get on our knees and pray! Because when the mark comes and we can't buy or sell without it, taking the mark in order to drink or eat will NOT be an option for me or my family.

Dana said to wait until December 1st to judge whether or not his dreams were prophetic, IF they come to pass then we will know he has heard from the Lord, and IF they do not we will know they did not come from God and if that's the case he said himself he will come back and apologize for his error, so the only thing to do now is pray and watch!

Who's Side Are You Fighting On?

Ok so let me nail this post to the virtual church door!

In light of all the George Floyd protests, looting and violence in the streets, I feel led to admonish those who call themselves Christians, by reminding us all of  the scriptures that we are called to obey and apply to our everyday lives.

Question: Do you find yourself getting emotional and angry at all the goings-on? Are you engrossed in all the political upheavals in Washington? Are you choosing sides of the racial injustices of this world? Well here's the first reminder from the writings of Paul.

2nd Timothy 2:1-4

"You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also. You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier."

No one engaged in warfare who is a soldier of Jesus Christ entangles himself in the affairs of this life! That means that we should not be concerned whatsoever with anything going on in this world! Didn't God Himself call His people to come out from among them and be SEPARATE?

2nd Corinthians 6:14-18

Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever? And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will dwell in them And walk among them. I will be their God, And they shall be My people.” Therefore “Come out from among them And be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, And I will receive you.” “I will be a Father to you, And you shall be My sons and daughters, Says the Lord Almighty.”

What does it mean to be separate you ask? "to mark off from others by boundaries, to limit, to separate" pretty clear right? So God is saying to us in these scriptures to separate ourselves from the world, from darkness, from unbelievers, from idolatry etc...

We are to be IN the world but NOT OF the world!

John 17:14-16

"I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world."

If you call yourself a Christian and you are caught up in the George Floyd issue and separating yourself from other people because of their skin color you definitely need repentance and deliverance! Are you calling yourself "Black" or "White"? I'm sure you know those are colors and words that should not be used to identify different people groups. I don't see one scripture in the bible where God, Jesus, or His apostles address people from other countries by a color. The scriptures CLEARLY tell us there is no Jew or Gentile in Christ!

Galatians 3:26-29

"For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise."

Paul said that Christians should not regard anyone according to the flesh!

2nd Corinthians 5:16-17

"Therefore, from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him thus no longer. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new."

Here's a very enlightening excerpt from a recent blog post:

"In combating this increase in racism, there are two primary aspects to consider. The first is that the very idea of “race” is a lie: as the American Society of Human Genetics, the largest professional organization of scientists in the field, explained in an essay:

The science of genetics demonstrates that humans cannot be divided into biologically distinct subcategories”; and it “challenges the traditional concept of different races of humans as biologically separate and distinct. This is validated by many decades of research.” In other words, “race itself is a social construct,” with no biological basis.

In 2014, more than 130 leading population geneticists condemned the idea that genetic differences account for the economic, political, social and behavioral diversity around the world. In fact, said a 2018 article in Scientific American, there is a “broad scientific consensus that when it comes to genes there is just as much diversity within racial and ethnic groups as there is across them.” And the Human Genome Project has confirmed that the genomes found around the globe are 99.9 percent identical in every person. Hence, the very idea of different “races” is nonsense.

A second problem, as cognitive scientist George Lakoff has shown, is that simply using the word “race,” even when criticizing racism, actually reinforces the false belief that human beings belong to fundamentally different groups. That’s because the more a word is used, the more that certain brain circuits are activated and the stronger that metaphor becomes.

The use of colors to describe ethnic groups also supports racism. That’s why it is not acceptable anymore to refer to Asians as “yellow,” to Latin Americans as “brown,” or to Native Americans as “red.” However, many people, including academics and journalists, still use “black” to describe people of primarily recent African origin.

https://blogs.scientificamerican.com/observations/the-concept-of-race-is-a-lie/

We are to be aliens and foreigners in this world, sojourners just passing through. Our citizenship is in Heaven and we should be looking up and waiting for our Lord and Savior to come back and redeem His people.

Philippians 3:20-21

"For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself."

So I ask you, who's side are you fighting on?

No Shame!

While I was meditating and praying one morning I heard the Holy Spirit say, "He Was Crucified Naked." A word of knowledge, and I had been wondering if Jesus was actually crucified with or without a covering over His private area. The Lord answered my question! And I believe what I heard!

Many others have also researched this topic and found that the Roman way of crucifixion was to strip the one being crucified of ALL clothing, leaving them completely naked and exposed. Even if you don't believe that the Shroud of Turin is the burial cloth of Jesus, the image on the shroud shows a man that was crucified and only his hands are covering his pelvic area.

A quote from a blog I read say's this:

"[Bishop St.] Melito, the second century AD bishop of Sardis, wrote in his sermon on the passion of Christ: ‘The Sovereign has been made unrecognizable by his naked body, and is not even allowed a garment to keep him from view.’ Because people of his day had witnessed crucifixions, Melito knew that the victims were executed without clothing” (Lexham Bible Dictionary)."

The scriptures also tell us that roman soldiers divided up His clothing and cast lots for them, however, the scripture does not explicitly say that Jesus was completely naked. But one would ask if the Roman way of crucifixion was to strip the person of all clothing leaving them naked, why would they treat Jesus any different? The scriptures tell us plainly He was treated worse than a common criminal! Even Barabbas, a notorious prisoner was treated better!

King David who was also a prophet, prophesied in the book of Psalms.

Psalm 22:16-18

"For dogs have surrounded Me; The congregation of the wicked has enclosed Me. They pierced My hands and My feet; I can count all My bones. They look and stare at Me. They divide My garments among them, And for My clothing they cast lots."

Matthew 27:32-35

"Now as they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name. Him they compelled to bear His cross. And when they had come to a place called Golgotha, that is to say, Place of a Skull, they gave Him sour wine mingled with gall to drink. But when He had tasted it, He would not drink. Then they crucified Him, and divided His garments, casting lots, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet: “They divided My garments among them, And for My clothing they cast lots.”

For a more in-depth look at the topic at hand you can read this short blog post found here:

https://catholicconvert.com/blog/2017/04/12/was-jesus-naked-when-crucified/

Another topic I want to insert in this post is that of shame, was Jesus ashamed of being exposed on the cross? His mother was right there, John the disciple whom Jesus loved was right there, Mary Magdalene and Salome were near the cross, along with some other women disciples who stood at a distance watching, possibly Joanna, and Susanna, etc...., and it's very likely they could see everything that was going on.

I have been dealing with a lot of shame over the years, ashamed of different aspects of my life when I should be bold and confident. Ashamed to speak up when something is wrong, ashamed to proclaim the name of Jesus and speak His word boldly, ashamed of my anointing and talents as if I should dumb down so that I won't be perceived as trying to be better than someone else.

I was even ashamed to say I'm a Christian! Likely some oppression I received from my childhood and the devil will use whatever evil we have in us to hinder us from the abundant life that Jesus promised us.

But thank God saints that we have a friend in Jesus! A deliverer who set's us free from all the bondage that sin causes and the strongholds of the devil that oppress our minds and souls!

I personally believe that Jesus had NO shame! And why do I believe that? Because the scriptures tell us He was tempted in every way but was without sin, and Jesus Himself said that satan had nothing (evil) in Him! And shame is definitely a consequence of sin, or could even be generational, cultural, and totally evil!

Hebrews 4:15

"For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin." (Jesus was a perfect man!)

John 14:30

"I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world is coming, and he has nothing in Me."

Jesus was like Adam and Eve before the fall! Can we become like the man Jesus who was God manifested in the flesh? YES WE CAN!

If you believe it, you can receive it! The scriptures admonish us to walk as Christ walked and Jesus Himself said we could become like our Teacher!

Luke 6:40

"A disciple is not above his teacher, but everyone who is perfectly trained will be like his teacher."

Genesis 2:25

"And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were NOT ASHAMED."

When God Comes Down

History repeats itself!

Ecclesiastes 1:9

That which has been is what will be, That which is done is what will be done, And there is nothing new under the sun

From Moses and Jesus to William J. Seymour and John G. Lake, when God comes down there is always a great change, a great move and working of God's power and sovereignty. Whether it's judgments on Pharaoh and the Egyptians, Ananias and Saphira or Hurricane Katrina, God continues to make it known to His creation that He is the one in control!

Just as there is a great pandemic in the streets of the world, there will also be great revival in those same streets throughout the world!

Matthew 24:14

And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.

What happened when Peter stood up and preached the gospel on the day of Pentecost? Three thousand souls got added to the body of Christ in one day!

When Peter and John preached to the people on Solomon's porch in the temple, five thousand men believed!

Acts 4:1-4

"Now as they spoke to the people, the priests, the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees came upon them, being greatly disturbed that they taught the people and preached in Jesus the resurrection from the dead. And they laid hands on them, and put them in custody until the next day, for it was already evening. However, many of those who heard the word believed; and the number of the men came to be about five thousand."

Revelation 7:9-10,13-14

After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, saying, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”

Then one of the elders answered, saying to me, “Who are these arrayed in white robes, and where did they come from?” And I said to him, “Sir, you know.” So he said to me, “These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb."

So we see that when God wants to save a great multitude of people, it's not hard for Him to do it! All He needs is a few godly men who are anointed, prepared, and thoroughly equipped for every good work!

Acts 8:4-8

"Therefore those who were scattered went everywhere preaching the word. Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria and preached Christ to them. And the multitudes with one accord heeded the things spoken by Philip, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did. For unclean spirits, crying with a loud voice, came out of many who were possessed; and many who were paralyzed and lame were healed. And there was great joy in that city."

Just as there is great sadness, fear and isolation during the quarantine of 2020 from covid-19, there will be great joy, faith, love, peace and unity in many cities, when God comes down!
