PRIDE (The destroyer of souls!)

Pride is so subtle, it makes you think you're self sufficient, you can do everything by yourself. It makes you believe that you don't need help, you're just fine, there's nothing wrong with you, and everything you do and say is right and it's everybody else who's wrong.

Pride will keep you from listening to great advice, whether it be from your parents, friends, your spouse, or God Himself! Pride and a haughty eye most assuredly comes before destruction. I myself was full of pride and even had an evil spirit of pride in me! I know this because one morning I heard the evil spirit cry out it's name, priiiiiiiiide, and I felt it leave me and go out the window! I praise God for His Holy Spirit who cast that devil out of me!

Pride can and will destroy your soul if you let it, and the only way to be delivered from pride is to humble yourself in the sight of the LORD!

Psalm 10:4-6

The wicked in his proud countenance does not seek God; God is in none of his thoughts. His ways are always prospering; Your judgments are far above, out of his sight; As for all his enemies, he sneers at them. He has said in his heart, “I shall not be moved; I shall never be in adversity.”

Pride is what brought down Lucifer, a covering cherub, that God created for His good pleasure. He became satan, a corrupted fallen angel, who has the power to deceive the whole world.

Ezekiel 28:17

"Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty; You corrupted your wisdom for the sake of your splendor; I cast you to the ground, I laid you before kings, That they might gaze at you."

That is what happens to many physically attractive men and women, they become so engrossed with themselves and their beauty, they become corrupt in the heart, and although their outward appearance may be appealing their inner self is very ugly!

As Christians we must fight the evil spirit of pride in every area of our lives. Don't resist correction, humble yourself when you realize you're wrong. Seek help from others, and offer to help them in return. Listen to advice from those who are more spiritually mature than you are, listen to those who are more experienced and learn from them.

Humble yourself in the sight of the Lord, and HE WILL LIFT YOU UP!

The Wheat And Tares, More Insight!

Matthew 13:24-30

"Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared. So the servants of the owner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’ He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ The servants said to him, ‘Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’ But he said, ‘No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.” ’ ”

This is one of my favorite parables and I wrote another blog some years ago on this topic, but I want to add a little more insight into this great parable.

Jesus explains the parable.

Matthew 13:36-43

"Then Jesus sent the multitude away and went into the house. And His disciples came to Him, saying, “Explain to us the parable of the tares of the field.”

He answered and said to them: “He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man. The field is the world, the good seeds are the sons of the kingdom, but the tares are the sons of the wicked one. The enemy who sowed them is the devil, the harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are the angels. Therefore as the tares are gathered and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of this age. The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness, and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!"

1st Point: Jesus completely destroys the false teaching of a pre-tribulation rapture with this parable and the explanation of it.

2nd Point:  So many believer's THINK that being inside of a church building separates them from the world, and that they are somehow more spiritual and righteous than others. But again Jesus annihilates the false teaching of the Tares being outside the church walls, but the people gathered inside the building are the wheat.

Jesus said clearly, the field IS THE WORLD! He didn't say that you become His wheat because you go and sit inside a church building. Do you think that the devil can't come and sit right next to you inside that building? In fact he has done that for decades already, which is why many who profess Christ are powerless and without spiritual discernment. Witches, masons, false prophets and unconverted people sit inside the church building and say amen, sing songs, go up to altar calls and congregate with true believers, and they don't even know it! Many so-called pastors belong to the masonic order and other secret societies and get up into the pulpit every Sunday and oppress the souls of all who listen to them speak.

Paul said in the last days people would gather to themselves teachers to say whatever their itching ears want to hear! That prophecy is being fulfilled right now! What happened to preaching the truth of God's word and applying it?

3rd Point: The wheat and tares look exactly alike UNTIL they are fully grown! You can't tell the difference between a witch or a mason and a spirit-filled believer sitting right next to each other! But once they are fully grown you WILL be able to tell the difference!

The face of Stephen was shining like an angel and everyone looking at him could see it!

Acts 6:15

"And all who sat in the council, looking steadfastly at him, saw his face as the face of an angel."

The Lord said there will come a day when you will know who serves Him and who does not!

Malachi 3:16-18

"Then those who feared the Lord spoke to one another, And the Lord listened and heard them; So a book of remembrance was written before Him For those who fear the Lord And who meditate on His name. “They shall be Mine,” says the Lord of hosts, “On the day that I make them My jewels. And I will spare them As a man spares his own son who serves him.” Then you shall again discern Between the righteous and the wicked, Between one who serves God And one who does not serve Him."

Fear And Shame

Fear and shame are two of the biggest weapons of the devil, from the garden of Eden to this present day. Those two evil feelings are a direct result of sin in a person's life and can be inherited while still in the womb! If your mother is full of fear and shame, it can be passed on to the fetus even before the child is born. That is how generational curses are perpetuated in a family and only the power of God's grace and Spirit can liberate a soul from that heavy oppression.

When Adam and Eve sinned, immediately evil entered them and they became afraid of God instead of loving God and desiring His presence and fellowship. They became ashamed of who they were and how God made them, they saw that they were naked and hid themselves from their Creator. Fear can cripple and paralyze whole neighborhoods, cities, states, and countries! I write from experience on that because fear kept me from doing so many good things in life, for myself and others.

As a Christian, fear will keep you from speaking the truth in love, to other believers and unbelievers alike! Instead of standing up for the truth of God's word, Christians who are filled with fear, will run from confrontation, they will compromise their faith and even deny Jesus and His word. Peter was tested just like that and we know he denied Jesus three times, because he was really afraid of death, but he had spoken the exact opposite to Jesus.

Matthew 26:35

"Peter said to Him, “Even if I have to die with You, I will not deny You!” And so said all the disciples."

If your heart and mind is full of fear and shame, then you are not prepared to face death for Jesus, or to stand up for the truth. But it's not too late to prepare yourself! Because Jesus said clearly that one day all the nations will hate Christians for His name sake.

Shame, like fear, will cause you to shut your mouth when someone asks are you a Christian? And you feel ashamed to say yes, because you will be ridiculed or mocked. If you are ashamed to speak the truth because of fear of being shunned, persecuted, opposed, or even killed for your belief, then call on Jesus now for help in this area, because it's getting worse and worse in this world, and the love of many has grown cold. People no longer want correction, righteousness, and holiness, they want it easy, they want to do what they want, and say what they want, and gather together with those who believe as they do, but not according to the word of God.

Fear and shame work hand and hand, but as Christians we must be delivered from this evil so that we can be bold in the face of the devil. We must be perfected in love, because perfect love drives out ALL fear!

Have You EXPERIENCED God?

It's one thing to TALK ABOUT God, and an entirely different thing to EXPERIENCE God! Moses was such a one who was blessed and honored to have experienced the presence, power, and glory of The  Most High God.

Prepare us Lord and make us ready to experience you, and not just talk about you, or watch movies about your great works. But to actually experience the supernatural manifestations and power of Almighty God in THIS generation! In Jesus Name I pray!

It's Not About YOU!

Romans 12:3

"For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith."

So many voices and so little evidence of the power of God in people's lives. So many proclamations of healings, signs, and wonders, and the Spirit falling on people, but where is the evidence?

I keep hearing preachers get up and say, "today you will be healed!", or "tonight the Holy Spirit is going to fall on you!", but then NOTHING happens!!! Why does this continue to happen when I can't read of any scripture where the apostles or even Philip the evangelist made a proclamation like that.

Peter said in Acts 2:38

"Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."

There is no outpouring without repentance! There is no remission or forgiveness of your sins without being baptized in water! And there is no deliverance, healing or supernatural gifts without the Holy Spirit!

Men and women can proclaim all they want to, but it is GOD who does the works! All I see and hear is emotions, screaming, yelling, and jumping around, but NO demonstration of the Spirit and the POWER of GOD! Why is that?

The word of God is clear and answers every question of why we don't see evidence of God's power in these conferences, meetings, and daily Sunday church services around the world.

Jesus HIMSELF said in John 5:30

"I can of Myself do nothing. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is righteous, because I do not seek My own will but the will of the Father who sent Me."

Even JESUS, full of grace and truth, could do NOTHING of HIMSELF! Every work He did, and every word He spoke, came from the Father in Heaven!

Paul the apostle of Jesus reiterated the truth of His Master in 2nd Corinthians 3:5

"Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God,"

Jesus told His apostles that they could do NOTHING apart from HIM!

John 15:5

“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing."

This is exactly why we don't see the power of God being manifested in the midst of the assembly on a regular basis! Jesus is not WITH those who get up and proclaim and then nothing happens! It's written in the scriptures!

So let me tell you who it's about, you already know don't you? JESUS!

Paul said, in 1st Corinthians 1:23-24

"but we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling block and to the Greeks foolishness, but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.

If you want to see the power of God manifested on this earth, preach Christ Jesus and Him crucified! Preach the good news of the kingdom of God, preach repentance and the forgiveness of sins in Jesus name!

I myself want to follow the One who can save my soul from death and Hell, the One who holds the KEYS to death and Hell, the One who has ALL authority in Heaven AND Earth! His name is JESUS!

Revelation 1:18

"I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death."

Matthew 28:18-20

"And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

Yoked

Matthew 11:28-30

"Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

This passage of scripture is quoted so often, but do you really understand what it means? The Lord gave this scripture to my wife as I was learning how to produce music, she came downstairs into our basement and heard the music and started singing the lyrics and the melody! Truly a song from Heaven! It started out as just a short one minute song, but it turned into a full blown three minute song with a video! I was thinking small, but God was thinking much bigger!

Jesus is telling us take HIS yoke upon you, because His yoke is easy and His burden is light, as compared to a yoke of Oxen, who carry on their shoulders a big eighty pound, or heavier, wooden yoke that binds the two of them together, while many times pulling a big plow behind them! That is certainly hard and burdensome! Now contrast that with the words of Jesus, His yoke is easy, and don't we humans like to have things made easy for us? We sure do! His burden is light, not a heavy yoke to bear, why not? Because the Lord of Glory is walking with us! And even when we grow weary, HE GIVES US STRENGTH, to keep walking! Oh glory!

The Lord Jesus empowers us, and helps us to overcome, sin, satan, this world, our enemies, and our own flesh! He gives us power to become sons and daughters of God! Isn't it much better to be yoked together with Jesus? To carry His burden? Of course it is! Which is why the Lord says that to whosoever will.

When we are joined together with Jesus through the baptism in water and the Holy Spirit, we become one with Him!

1st Corinthians 6:17

"But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him."

Your call today is to yoke yourself with Jesus and really walk together WITH HIM, let Him help you, and teach you, allow Him to correct you when necessary, pick you up when you fall, and even carry you when you're too tired to keep walking.

Is It Hard For You To Obey?

Jeremiah 7:21-26

"Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: “Add your burnt offerings to your sacrifices and eat meat. For I did not speak to your fathers, or command them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices. But this is what I commanded them, saying, ‘Obey My voice, and I will be your God, and you shall be My people. And walk in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well with you.’ Yet they did not obey or incline their ear, but followed the counsels and the dictates of their evil hearts, and went backward and not forward. Since the day that your fathers came out of the land of Egypt until this day, I have even sent to you all My servants the prophets, daily rising up early and sending them. Yet they did not obey Me or incline their ear, but stiffened their neck. They did worse than their fathers.

One of the biggest, if not THE biggest root problems of mankind is obedience! Whether it be obedience to the laws of God, or the laws of man, it's just not the nature of human beings to obey! Many people have a problem with the word 'obey', itself! So what does 'obey' mean?

Obey: 1: to follow the commands or guidance of

Example: He always obeys his parents.

2: to conform to or comply with

Example: obey an order; falling objects obey the laws of physics. (Merriam Webster Dictionary)

Now that we know what obey means, we can apply our understanding to what we know of  the many situations that have occurred over the last decade with African-Americans, and European-American or any, law enforcement officer. From what I myself saw on video or read in an internet article, I can understand that when the officer gave a command, it was NOT immediately obeyed! Thus, causing an escalation of what should be a routine traffic stop, but ended in a senseless death, or serious injury.

The majority of the times that I see someone get shot or killed, was because the situation escalated when the commands of the officer, were not immediately obeyed, or the suspect tried to flee. And that is, and will continue to be a huge problem for mankind!

Now if you profess to be a Christian it is our #1 duty to OBEY THE COMMANDS OF GOD! And where do we find the commands of God and His Son Jesus Christ? In the bible! How many of you read the written and inspired word of God, say amen, but don't DO WHAT IT SAYS!

Jesus Himself said: "I ALWAYS DO  those things that please Him". He also said this in John 14:15

“If you love Me, keep My commandments."

Jesus even LEARNED OBEDIENCE through His sufferings!

Hebrew 5:8-9

"though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered. And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him,"

It started all the way back in the garden of Eden and continues to this day! Human beings, with their fallen nature, have a very hard time obeying any commands, whether it be from law enforcement officers, a company supervisor, parents, or God Himself!

Even as I write this blog post, another young African-American man was shot and killed during a routine traffic stop!

When will we learn to obey!
