Let Them Grow Together!

Matthew 13:24-30

"He put another parable before them, saying, “The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a man who sowed good seed in his field, but while his men were sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat and went away. So when the plants came up and bore grain, then the weeds appeared also. And the servants of the master of the house came and said to him, ‘Master, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have weeds?’ He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ So the servants said to him, ‘Then do you want us to go and gather them?’ But he said, ‘No, lest in gathering the weeds you root up the wheat along with them. Let both grow together until the harvest, and at harvest time I will tell the reapers, Gather the weeds first and bind them in bundles to be burned, but gather the wheat into my barn.’”

If you profess to be a Christian, these scriptures will be of great interest to you. Because Jesus tells us in this parable that the righteous,(wheat) will grow together with the unrighteous,(tares, weeds) until the harvest!

And when is the harvest? Jesus tells us in His explanation of this parable in:

Matthew 13:36-43

"Then Jesus sent the multitude away and went into the house. And His disciples came to Him, saying, “Explain to us the parable of the tares of the field.” He answered and said to them: “He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man. The field is the world, the good seeds are the sons of the kingdom, but the tares are the sons of the wicked one. The enemy who sowed them is the devil, the harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are the angels. Therefore as the tares are gathered and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of this age. The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness, and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!

Jesus clearly tells us that there will be no secret rapture of the 'good seed',(sons of the kingdom) and they will have to grow and live together with the 'weeds'(sons of the evil one) until this present age ends!

Contrary to popular belief the weeds are not just inside the church. The weeds were actually sown in the same field (the world) as the wheat were. So how can you tell them apart?

When you look at the above picture of the wheat and tares, they look very much alike before they are ripe!

Now take a look at the picture below when they both become fully ripe, you can see an obvious difference between the two!

The weeds or tares look dull, poisonous, twisted, dried out and without life!

While the fully ripened wheat looks golden brown, healthy, edible, and full of life!

The same can be said for the sons of the kingdom, the good seed, and the sons of the evil one, the weeds.

The sons of the devil will look dull, full of darkness and sin, lifeless, burnt out, sick, and walking around like zombies!

While the sons of the kingdom will look healthy, strong, full of life and light, they will walk in power, holiness, faith, love, and the glory of God will be physically seen upon them!

Like Moses when he came down from Mount Sinai, his face was shining with the glory of God after being in His presence for forty days and nights. His face was shining so bright that his brother Aaron and all the people were afraid to come near him, he even put a veil over his face!

Exodus 34:29-33

"When Moses came down from Mount Sinai, with the two tablets of the testimony in his hand as he came down from the mountain, Moses did not know that the skin of his face shone because he had been talking with God. Aaron and all the people of Israel saw Moses, and behold, the skin of his face shone, and they were afraid to come near him. But Moses called to them, and Aaron and all the leaders of the congregation returned to him, and Moses talked with them. Afterward all the people of Israel came near, and he commanded them all that the Lord had spoken with him in Mount Sinai. And when Moses had finished speaking with them, he put a veil over his face."

The day is coming when all will know who the sons of the kingdom are and who the sons of the devil are!

In Jesus,
Tyrone
