1st John 5:9-13
"If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater; for this is the witness of God which He has testified of His Son. He who believes in the Son of God has the witness in himself; he who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed the testimony that God has given of His Son. And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God."
John doesn't hold any punches for unbelievers with these scriptures, and this truth really convicts my heart and paints a clear picture of those who have life and those who do not.
I have heard people say, 'I don't believe in God', 'I don't believe what the bible says, it was written by man', 'I don't believe Jesus died on a cross for my sins, the bible is just a book of made up stories and fairy tales', 'Christians are brainwashed and need to wake up to reality', etc........
How many millions of people are there, that have already lost their immortal soul and opened up their eyes in torments because they did not believe the testimony of the One True and Living God?
How many millions of people are there, who wish they could leave the torments of Hell and relive their lives? But even if one came back from the dead and told their testimony would you believe them?
“He who believes in Him is not condemned (judged); but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God."
"He who believes (trust in, put faith in, commit to) in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.”
