How Will You Respond When God Comes Down?
You have to understand that the human mind cannot really grasp supernatural and spiritual occurrences happening on a daily basis. To read about these things in the bible are one thing but to experience them in the natural is completely another!
When God descended upon Mount Sinai the scripture tells us.
Exodus 19:16-18, 20:18-21
"Then it came to pass on the third day, in the morning, that there were thunderings and lightnings, and a thick cloud on the mountain; and the sound of the trumpet was very loud, so that all the people who were in the camp trembled. And Moses brought the people out of the camp to meet with God, and they stood at the foot of the mountain. Now Mount Sinai was completely in smoke, because the Lord descended upon it in fire. Its smoke ascended like the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mountain quaked greatly."
"Now all the people witnessed the thunderings, the lightning flashes, the sound of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking; and when the people saw it, they trembled and stood afar off. Then they said to Moses, “You speak with us, and we will hear; but let not God speak with us, lest we die.” And Moses said to the people, “Do not fear; for God has come to test you, and that His fear may be before you, so that you may not sin.” So the people stood afar off, but Moses drew near the thick darkness where God was."All we have today is movies to help us visualize what it could have been like in reality, but when you experience something like this in the physical realm and see it up close and personal it WILL affect and CHANGE you in some way, at the very least you will know there is a supernatural LIVING GOD and Creator of Heaven and Earth who dwells in another dimension from our own and at the appointed times He intervenes in the lives of His creation and comes down to help His people.
When God came down after Adam and Eve sinned, what did they do? They ran and hid themselves in the trees!
When God came down in the flesh as Jesus the Christ, the word tells us in John 1:11
"He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him."

PRIDE (The destroyer of souls!)
That is what happens to many physically attractive men and women, they become so engrossed with themselves and their beauty, they become corrupt in the heart, and although their outward appearance may be appealing their inner self is very ugly!

The Wheat And Tares, More Insight!
"Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared. So the servants of the owner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’ He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ The servants said to him, ‘Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’ But he said, ‘No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.” ’ ”
This is one of my favorite parables and I wrote another blog some years ago on this topic, but I want to add a little more insight into this great parable.
Jesus explains the parable.
Matthew 13:36-43"Then Jesus sent the multitude away and went into the house. And His disciples came to Him, saying, “Explain to us the parable of the tares of the field.”
He answered and said to them: “He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man. The field is the world, the good seeds are the sons of the kingdom, but the tares are the sons of the wicked one. The enemy who sowed them is the devil, the harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are the angels. Therefore as the tares are gathered and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of this age. The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness, and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!"

Fear And Shame
Fear and shame are two of the biggest weapons of the devil, from the garden of Eden to this present day. Those two evil feelings are a direct result of sin in a person's life and can be inherited while still in the womb! If your mother is full of fear and shame, it can be passed on to the fetus even before the child is born. That is how generational curses are perpetuated in a family and only the power of God's grace and Spirit can liberate a soul from that heavy oppression.
When Adam and Eve sinned, immediately evil entered them and they became afraid of God instead of loving God and desiring His presence and fellowship. They became ashamed of who they were and how God made them, they saw that they were naked and hid themselves from their Creator. Fear can cripple and paralyze whole neighborhoods, cities, states, and countries! I write from experience on that because fear kept me from doing so many good things in life, for myself and others.
As a Christian, fear will keep you from speaking the truth in love, to other believers and unbelievers alike! Instead of standing up for the truth of God's word, Christians who are filled with fear, will run from confrontation, they will compromise their faith and even deny Jesus and His word. Peter was tested just like that and we know he denied Jesus three times, because he was really afraid of death, but he had spoken the exact opposite to Jesus.
Matthew 26:35
"Peter said to Him, “Even if I have to die with You, I will not deny You!” And so said all the disciples."
If your heart and mind is full of fear and shame, then you are not prepared to face death for Jesus, or to stand up for the truth. But it's not too late to prepare yourself! Because Jesus said clearly that one day all the nations will hate Christians for His name sake.Monday, June 21, 2021

It's Not About YOU!
Romans 12:3
"For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith."
