Sons Of Glory!

Hebrews 2:10-11

"For it was fitting for Him, for whom are all things and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. For both He who sanctifies and those who are being sanctified are all of one, for which reason He is not ashamed to call them brethren."

Jesus Christ is the Captain of our salvation, He is our Redeemer, and through His atoning sacrifice He is bringing many sons to glory! All those who take up their cross and follow in the footsteps of Jesus on the straight and narrow road are being led onwards and upwards in Him.

Romans 8:29-30

"For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.  Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified."

God wants all His children to be conformed to the image of His Son in the inner man.

John 17:20-23

“I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me."

Jesus gave the disciples the same glory He had been given by the Father and Jesus desires to give us the same glory He gave the disciples in the first century! When we are born from above Jesus comes to indwell us by His Spirit and the process of sanctification begins. Through the teaching, training, washing, and purifying work of the Holy Spirit, every saint is able to grow and come into maturity and perfection in Christ.

Colossian 1:27-28

"To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus."

Paul wanted every saint to know the riches of God's glory in Christ Jesus and he desired to present every single believer perfect in Christ! Now that is love! Paul also wanted to see Christ formed in all the saints.

Galatians 4:19

"My little children, for whom I labor in birth again until Christ is formed in you."

2nd Corinthians 4:7-11

"But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us. We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed— always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body. For we who live are always delivered to death for Jesus’ sake, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh."

When we die to self and crucify the flesh, the life of Jesus can be revealed in our mortal bodies, and we can be transformed into His image.

2nd Corinthians 3:17-18

"Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord."

Jesus wants all His brethren to be as He is and He gave us all the example in His word that we should follow, He has gone before us and we should walk as He walked, in self-denial, sacrifice, serving, suffering, and love.

1st John 4:17

"Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world."

Love In Christ,
Tyrone
